INEX>BOARDS, manufactured by UBIQ Australia, are one of On The Deck’s latest offerings. INEX>BOARDS provide a range of high performing, lighter weight materials, offering a superior, yet price competitive, environmentally friendly alternative to fiber cement and plasterboard products.

Critically, these products comprise eco-friendly building materials. They are low carbon, high performance products with approximately 40% of the embodied energy of comparable cement boards and contain over 60% of recycled industrial materials.

INEX>BOARDS flooring products offer acoustic benefits, excellent water resistance and enhanced breathability which resist the growth of mould, making this the choice for wet area flooring. Multiple finishes, textures and colours are available, from polished concrete flooring to a timber finishes, combining good looks with high strength and impact resistance.

INEX>DECKING is a unique engineered cementitious composite material. The textured surface of INEX>DECKING provides a superb surface for a wide range of approved coating systems.

INEX>DECKING has pencil round edges along the length of the board. This product is suitable for all decking applications, where the required live load is not greater than 1.8kN and a uniformly distributed load of not greater than 3.0kPa.

Product Specifications

  • Board Length: 2.7m

  • Board Width: 140mm

  • Board Thickness: 19mm

  • KG/m2: 24.6kg

  • Weight per Length: 9kg (Approx.)

  • Number of boards required per m2: XXX boards

  • Joist Spacing: 450mm MAX

  • Minimum Decking Length: 900mm

Product in Application

Additional Benefits

  • High Performance: INEX>DECKING can be cut and worked just like comparable fiber cement sheets, but offers improved bending strength characteristics and finish quality. INEX>DECKING spans over joists at maximum 450mm centres.

  • Moisture Resistance: INEX>DECKING is moisture resistant and retains it’s structural integrity when subjected to multiple soak/dry cycles.

  • Durability: INEX>DECKING is highly durable and represents a real alternative to natural timber. INEX>DECKING can be coated to achieve a timber look, without needing as much maintenance as natural timber.

  • Recyclable and Toxin Free: INEX>DECKING is recyclable and non-toxic.

  • Mould and Termite Resistance: INEX>DECKING is resistant to mould and termite attacks.

Note: INEX>BOARDS’ concrete is a natural product with all it’s vital signs and characteristics. Each INEX>DECKING board is regarded as a single piece, just like natural timber. Efflorescences or small, visible pores or patches are not defects. They add to the character of the final finished and stained product. Differences in the surface appearance, which do not affect the fit for purpose of the boards, are permitted. The surface is not homogeneous and the variations of texture are what deliver a remarkable appearance once these coatings are applied. They are what set these boards apart from other composite decking products.

INEX>MAXIDECK is a unique engineered cementious composite Tongue and Groove (T&G) decking sheet. The textured surface of INEX>MAXIDECK provides a superb surface for a wide range of approved coating systems.

INEX>MAXIDECK is ‘decking by the sheet’ and comes with grooves routed into its surface to deliver an authentic decking board appearance without the fuss of having to lay individual decking boards. Each INEX>MAXIDECK sheet represents 5 x 120mm wide individual decking boards, thereby cutting the installation time to less then 20% of what it would be if individual boards were used. INEX>MAXIDECK is suitable for all decking applications, where the required live load is not greater than 2.7kN.

Product Specifications

  • Board Length: 2.7m

  • Board Width: 600mm

  • Board Thickness: 16mm

  • KG/m2: 20.7kg

  • Weight per Sheet: 34kg (Approx.)

  • Number of boards required per m2: XXX boards

  • Joist Spacing: 450mm MAX

  • Material: INEX>MAXIDECK is an advanced high strength, low carbon fiber reinforced Engineered Cementitious Composite (ECC) product, containing 60% of post industrial recycled materials.

  • Durability: INEX>MAXIDECK is highly durable and represents a real alternative to natural timber. INEX>MAXIDECK can be coated to achieve a timber look, without needing as much maintenance as natural timber.

  • Value: INEX>MAXIDECK is an affordable substitute to hardwood and/or other decking composites. Each INEX>MAXIDECK represents 5 x 120mm wide individual decking boards, thereby cutting the installation time to 20% of what it would be if individual boards were used.

Benefits of INEX>BOARDS

All of UBIQ’s INEX>BOARDS are made from our Low Carbon Fibre Reinforced Engineered Cementitious Composite (ECC) Technology, developed in Australia over the past 10 years. The INEX>BOARDS suite of products revolutionises the world of lightweight construction – a first for the South African market, brought to you by On The Deck.

INEX>BOARDS are relatively lightweight compared to other comparable composite decking and cladding options, making them easy to transport and easy to handle on site, while still retaining their core strength and durability.

INEX>BOARDS minimise harm to the planet in their product which is undertaken at room temperature. The embodied energy of the boards is about 40% to that of comparable fiber cement boards.

INEX>BOARDS are manufactured to an equilibrium bending strength of 22MPa.

Tests demonstrate that INEX>BOARDS are non-combustible, BAL-FZ and FRL 60/60/60 rated. More performance data is available here.

INEX_BOARDS can be used in all climatic conditions – rain, frost, varying humidities and extreme temperatures.

Tests demonstrate that INEX>BOARDS can retain over 80% of the dry strength after 25 soak-dry cycles.

Tests demonstrate an acoustic attenuation of Rw5 higher than that of standard plasterboard products. At 10mm thickness, INEX>BOARDS provide a similar attenuation as 13mm thick sound-rated plasterboard.

INEX>BOARDS have a high level of water resistance and confirm to the requirements of the Water Permeability Test.

INEX>BOARDS offer high impact resistance – greater than that of traditional compressed fiber cement sheets or impact resistant plasterboards currently on the market.

Tests show enhanced electromagnetic radiation shielding properties.

INEX>BOARDS are non-toxic, provide enhanced breathability and inhibit mould.
