9 Kramer Road, Kramerville is a prime example of this and we were very proud to have been a part of this project extension. Since 2014 we have worked with Deckworld providing the installations for the projects on the Tarloy Properties’.

9 Kramer Road is owned by Tarloy Properties (Pty) Ltd; who are a privately owned property fund specialising in A-grade commercial properties on main arterials within Johannesburg’s northern suburbs; offering carefully selected small, medium and large office pockets enables Tarloy’s clients’ to expand their businesses whilst they adapt solutions to changing property requirements.

One of the biggest trends in shared office spaces is that of a social space where professionals can gather and enjoy their work environment. Even more popular is that of an outdoor social area to take a break from the mundane, day-to-day culture of working behind a desk in an office the whole day. 9 Kramer Road encapsulates this concept, those working in this building can enjoy the fresh air and shared social area.

The project at hand now was to extend the outdoor common social area located on the 2nd floor. This modern shared office building has incorporated an outdoor entertainment area extending the existing MoistureShield Euro Grey decking with the new innovative MoistureShield Vision Sandstone – even though 2 different products were used, they worked seamlessly together! The MoistureShield Vision’s new diamond defence coating ensures easy cleaning, and the colour although more natural, picks up the grey tones and pulls all the elements together.

Also enhancing the outdoor balconies with pergolas for extra shading on the 3rd floor was part of the specification – Outdeco Screens in the Dainfern design were used, these screens allow natural light through while also casting beautiful shadows of the laser cut designs onto the decking area below. Incorporated into the decking area, to soften the perimeter balcony, On The Deck’s Outdeco Screens were used again in another design, Stonefield to clad planters with softening green foliage in them.

MoistureShield Euro Grey was initially installed in 2014 on the outside walk-ways and balconies of the office building. This addition truly enhanced and modernised the look and feel of the building, this made it one of the most sought after buildings in the area then in 2014. Now adding the extension to the common social area and the screens in the pergolas, has raised the bar again.
