The Lodge is family owned and run, and great pride is taken to ensure guests feel that the lodge is a place they can call home away from home.

The main lodge area is fully equipped with an open plan bar, lounge, kitchen and a beautiful outdoor covered entertainment area which looks onto the decked swimming pool which also overlooks the dry river bed and a small waterhole on the opposite bank giving game the room they need to feel safe to come and go as they please. The main lodge area is connected to the 4 private luxury suits with a raised decking boardwalk and the whole lodge is semi-fenced from larger wildlife to ensure your safety.

Each Luxury Private Suite is spacious and open aired with sliding doors on 3 sides of the room, with a full bathroom and outdoor shower, you can make yourself at home and relax. The suite also has its own timber deck front patio which can be used at leisure.

The timber used for the pool decking, walkways and the suite patio decks was 100% FSC Massaranduba, the lodge was looking for a sustainable and natural product that will keep their peace of mind, that they are keeping the environment at heart as they whole lodge is moving toward a more sustainable way of doing business.

Massaranduba was a great option that would work well in the hot dry climate Kalserie is known for, Massaranduba also greys beautifully and naturally and requires only low maintenance every so often when left untreated; this look and feel was also important to the lodge owners who are fully involved in the design and execution of the lodge. Massaranduba is a very stable and dense hardwood that will last for years – which is what the lodge owners were looking for.
